OUR STORY

As a graduate of Lakeridge High School, Meligan was a two time 1st Team All-League selection before competing for 4 seasons at California Lutheran University. Her CLU program made it to the Elite 8 in the NCAA tournament, while during that time she also coached for one of Southern California's top junior club volleyball programs.

At 24 years old, Meligan became the head volleyball coach at Wilson High School. In her first season she lead the team to a PIL League Championship, before starting her own juniors club in Portland, Oregon, Agape Volleyball Club. In year three the team saw their first trip to 6A State playoffs for the first time in school history. After three seasons at Wilson, she accepted the most challenging job in coaching; starting a college program.

Meligan was brought in by Multnomah University to become the schools first NAIA head women's volleyball coach at just 27 years old. With little resources, she spent four seasons building the program from the ground up at MU and putting the Lions on the map.  Under Jenna's leadership the volleyball team was the first in school history to beat a NAIA top 10 team in 2018, the first to beat an NCAA DII team in 2019, had the most players of any team at MU to make Academic All-Conference, and had the highest team GPA out of the entire school.  In 2019, Meligan parted ways with MU seeking a new challenge more in line with her personal mission and goals.

With a makeover for the club, Agape Volleyball Club changed names to Oregon Premier Volleyball Club to allow for more versatile partners and sponsors. New experienced coaches were hired to provide elite level instruction to OPV athletes.

With Meligan's education in psychology and school counseling, 14 years of head coaching experience at the club, high school, and college levels, and 4 years of college recruiting experience, OPV has an advantage for Portland area volleyball players unlike any other club in the region. She focuses on fair pay for the coaches, coaches with real experience, mindset and mental toughness training for the players, college recruiting, and winning while having fun and appreciating the game. With Meligan at the helm and the new changes to the club, OPV goes above and beyond for their players, and we're excited to see what they achieve going forward.
